Can A Cell Phone Cause a Gas Station Explosion?
Shell has it exactly backwards. It is better to use a cell phone while the car is parked in front of a gasoline pump than it is to use one while the car is on the road.

Wacky Warning Signs
Silly warning signs here in the U.S. appear even sillier than those above, because U.S. case law requires product warnings to be more elaborate to be legally correct. A silly warning sign gets sillier as it grows longer.

Liability Ramifications of Giving Cell Phones to Employees
Employers need to weigh the benefits of unrestricted cell phone usage against the costs or potential costs. Because we are in a litigious society, one instance of an employee causing a serious accident because of distraction from a cell phone could put your company out of business.

Can You Improve the Safety of your Fleet by Buying Silver Painted Cars?
Silver colored cars were involved in 50% fewer accidents than would be expected by the proportion of silver cars on the road. They found that brown, black and green cars had a slightly higher accident rate, while white, yellow, gray, red or blue were all about the same with average accident records.

Driver selection and Personality Tests
They found that high levels of dependability or agreeableness lead to fewer accidents, while high levels of openness are associated with higher risk. Other personality traits were neutral as regards safety.
